About one tree planted

One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization that plants trees in areas that have been affected by deforestation, climate change, or other environmental damage. The organization was founded in 2014 by Matt Hill, who was inspired to start the organization after seeing the impact of deforestation in his native Canada.


One Tree Planted works with local partners in over 40 countries to plant trees. The organization plants a variety of trees, including native species that are best suited for the local climate and environment.
